CARLY ARMADILLO's paintings and illustrations deal with themes of humor, anxiety, androgyny and femininity. She uses bright colors, expressive humanoid forms, text and bold repetitive lines to move between the creepy and the saccharine.

Her photography focuses on moments in nature and her life.

Currently she is exploring watercolors, printmaking and embroidery.

Carly grew up in Riverside, California and has a degree in Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an Art teaching credential from San Jose State University. She currently teaches art, photography, mixed media and ethnic studies somewhere in California.
